American, Late 19th Century. Cherry. Having a rectangular, tray top above a dramatically-scalloped apron and rising on slender, cabriole legs ending in pad feet. 25.5"h. 30.25"w. 21"d.

Provenance: From The Lifetime Collection of Janet & Charles Muto (Ottawa Hills, Ohio); sold at Weschler's (Washington, D.C.), September 27, 1987, Lot 1490.

  • Condition: Museum inventory number on side.
    This is a bench made copy, late 19th or early 20th Century. Age splits in top, one strengthened underneath with butterfly repair, two scallops nearest legs have glued repairs. 20th Century finish. (JS. 9.3.25)
