American, 19th Century. An ovoid stoneware crock with semi-rounded rim, tooled shoulder and waist, and brushed freehand cobalt decoration with full-length side profile of a woman in long dress, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, and carrying a fan or parasol with tall trees on either side and brushed ground beneath. 11.25"h.

Provenance: The Lifetime Collection of the late Nancy Goff (Alliance, Ohio).

  • Condition: Looks good under blacklight, lip is a little irregular. Some surface crazing, light wear, and overall nice condition. (JS.4.29.26)
