American, 18th Century. Crewel on linen. Initialed and with heart, flower, and vine decoration. Wear expected with age, but overall excellent condition. 18.5"h. 10.5"w. Cataloguer's note: For a similar example, see Skinner, Inc., May 21, 2016, Personal Collection of Lewis Scranton (Lot 276).

  • Condition: Strap has been repaired twice and has wear, small hole at bottom on back. Front has thread loss especially to black vines. Wear around top edge and interior floral pattern panel has a lot of loss. (JS, 11.27.24)
