American, mid 19th Century. Attributed to Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. (1850-1870). Clam broth with sandy finish, applied solid handle with chicken finial, applied circular foot. Sticker reading "Hollander Collection" on underside. Internal cracks to base. 6.5"h. Ex Dr. and Mrs. Oscar Hollander (West Falmouth, Massachusetts); George S. McKearin (New York, New York). Together with a Green Valley Auctions catalog from September 23-26, 2004 with item listing on page 86. Sold at Green Valley Auctions, Inc. (Mt. Crawford, Virginia), September 25, 2004 (Lot 632). Exhibited at Sandwich Glass Museum. Referenced in the book "American Glass" by George S. and Helen McKearin, illustrated plate 58A and mentioned on page 162.
