19th Century. Woman facing left, her dark hair up in a tortoiseshell comb and barrette, with ringlets framing face, wearing drop earrings and a green dress with a white ruffle collar, in oval gilt frame, the verso inscribed "Alfred's Grandmother" and "My Father's Mother." Seller's note mentions "possibly the wife of Isaac de Graff (1756-1844)." Frame, 8"h. 7"w.

Provenance: From the Collection of Peggy McClard & Randy Segotta (Weare, New Hampshire).

  • Condition: Toning to paper, small stain at top, frame has a few cracks, and glued down on wood or particle board.
