UNUSUAL NEW ENGLAND APOTHECARY PEWTER CUPBOARD.
American, 19th Century (circa 1820-1840). Birch with pine secondary. Scarce form with great surface. In one piece, simple cornice molding, open top with two shelves, work surface, shaped ends, forty-five drawers with brass knobs and simple cut out feet. Wonderful, old worn reddish-brown finish. 80.25"h. 46"w. Ex C.L. Prickett (Yardley, Pennsylvania). From the lifetime collection of Joanne & Dr. David Woodyard, Granville, Ohio.

  • Condition: Depth measures 13" at the bottom and 10" at the cornice. Bottom center pull is replaced, possibly a few of the others. Several drawers with mouse damage at the back. Most drawers are numbered and labeled (early ink apothecary labels and later penned hardware).
